I designed these hook keepers because I couldn’t find an easy and affordable hook keeper that I liked. I wanted one that was easy to use, low profile, and could be used with hooks or a drop shot. This hook keeper met all of my goals. The keeper is only ~5/8"x3/8"x3/8" in size. It comes in a money saving 4-pack and requires the use of an o-ring to keep it on the rod (o-rings not included). I have found that silicone o-rings with an ID that is approximately twice the diameter of the rod I was putting them on (at the point where the keeper will be installed) worked very well, but they need to be only about 1/16” thick. Example: ½” rod => 1” ID, 1/16” thick, 1-1/8” OD o-ring. An o-ring that is 3/32” thick is about the thickest that will work well with these hook keepers. I suggest printing them in SLS Nylon PA2200 or MJF Nylon 12.
